Rainbow doll cake

This cake was massive. The client wanted the 6 rainbow colors - red, orange, yellow, green, blue(torquoise), and violet. She wanted the rainbow colors in the cake and in the icing as well.

 I had made a doll cake before but it wasn't that high. This one ended up being 11/12 inches tall minus the doll head!

My main challenge was piping the rainbow whorls. I tried using the wilton 3-color piping bag but that didn't work. I also tried having the 6 colors in separate cling wraps. That didn't work either. I finally had to line them up in one wrap. Thanks to a video I saw on Youtube. I actually stayed up all night working on the decor for this cake since I had a short time to work and it was due the following day but it was well worth it. The client was blown away. To God alone be all the glory.
