Most recently baked cake

Just finished decorating this cake yesterday. I got the order on Sunday. Had such a short time to put everything together. Needed to plan, order the toy Mario cars, design the edible images, shop, etc . The order was for a chocolate cake - 8/9 inches by 4 inches with chocolate filling. I baked on Wednesday morning, and shopped in the afternoon. Needed to consider the size of the cake board so I could have a race track wide enough for the Mario cars. I decorated the cake on Thursday. I also had to create the special cloud/water effect by mixing some sky blue gel color into white fondant but not mixing all the way through. As I rolled the fondant, it was distributed like so:). I painted the track with pearly white color and then created the grass effect with some green sprinkles. Two of the toy cars arrived on Wednesday. The last car arrived on Friday morning. That was close. Pick up is tomorrow. I enjoyed making the cake. Challenge: getting the red check edible image to line up perfectly....
